First Degree Systems Ltd are pleased to announce the availability of a trial version of BuilderBooster™ Standard RC5. This version is feature complete, has proven in testing to be stable and reliable.

There have been nearly 50 fixes and improvements to BuilderBooster Standard since the last public release candidate. We believe we are getting pretty close to a release as all known major problems have been solved and there are only a few issues which are really classed as enhancements to complete. If you find anything in this release or wish for a feature to be added before the final version then please email us ASAP.

First Degree Systems Ltd are pleased to announce the availability of a trial version of BuilderBooster™ Standard RC3. This version is feature complete, has proven in beta testing to be fairly stable and has several bug fixes since RC1.

We still have few known problems that we plan to cure over the next week but we hope that by providing a release candidate it will give potential customers the opportunity to provide us feed back on unknown problems or enhancements.

First Degree Systems Ltd are pleased to announce the addition of a further product to their BuilderBooster line-up. BuilderBooster™ Personal is a new entry level product, aimed at individual developers, that includes the compiler accelerating HyperMake™ technology but not the extra features from ActiveCompile™, RemoteBoost™ and Build Event scripting. It will be priced at £57 ($99)

First Degree Systems Ltd have also added 4 new features to their BuilderBooster™ Standard package. The first, BuildScripts, gives full scripting control over application building. Build events supported include BeforeMake, BeforeCompile, AfterCompile, BeforeLink, AfterMake, AfterLoad, CanSave, and BeforeSave. Using these events the user can write a script to alter a file before it’s passed across to the compiler, decide whether a header file is to be updated, remove non-compilable information from Pascal generated header files, run external application, automatically backup source code and perform numerous other operations.

BuildScripts is more powerful than the Borland C++ Builder 2006 built-in BuildScript facility because each event handler is written in Pascal or C++ and has access to a significant part of the VCL toolkit. In addition extra functions such as memory manipulation and compression routines are available. BuildScripts are also supported in all versions of Borland C++ Builder.

The second feature is IDE Virtual files where for the first time transient files (IE those not saved on disk) can be compiled without having to save them to disk or use temporary files. With BuilderBooster's Client/Server technology unsaved files are simply transferred to the server and compiled. This also preserves any original file on disk in case the user changes their mind and means that editor facilities such as undo operate in a manner consistent with the Borland internal IDE compiler.

The third newly added feature is Linker Caching. Using an intelligent caching system that analyses and adapts itself to the linkers operations, First Degree Systems have managed to significantly increase linking speed. This increase applies to both Incremental and Full Linking. In the majority of cases the time required to link a program has almost halved compared to the standard native linker.

The final featured added in this release is full support for two third party products, EurekaLog and MadExcept. Both products help with locating problems in software out in the field by catching exceptions and analysing them, collecting other useful information, and giving the end user the capability to send a full bug report back to the developer.

First Degree Systems Ltd have worked closely with both companies to ensure that BuilderBooster adds the correct exception information to the final executable after it has been built, once again stretching BuilderBooster 's lead over the competition.

BuilderBooster is in its final testing stage and almost ready to ship. The standard demonstration will be made available soon. This will contain all the features of the standard version with the exception of the finished documentation. This will be added shortly after ready for the full release.
